I started watching Naruto when I was like 10 years old, almost 29 now. I don't really fuck with Boruto all that much but Naruto was my gateway into anime and Japan. I have watched all your videos so far. Just seeing your genuine first reaction to things is so fun and heartwarming. It almost like when you watch a friend enjoy something you recommended

Orochimaru need Sasuke as his new body and niw imagine Orochimaru having sharingan. How do you think should we let him considering what he did without it already or should we sacrifice ourselves to prevent this from happening? They didn't leave him they are just not letting his sacrifice to be for nothing.

The scene with Sakura telling Sasuke she was in love with him didn't have the best written dialogue, but it wasn't supposed to be seen as a confession at all in my opinion. What it was trying to convey was actually quite compelling. Sakura isn't that immature to confess at a time like this for her own sake, she has grown a lot. She was grasping at straws here to desperately try to get Sasuke to stay, for HIS sake. She was being selfless here and pouring her heart out saying she would make him happy because she knew if he left that HE would never be happy. She really has nothing to offer but herself in this situation, and if you notice the smile Sasuke has when he says "you're annoying" his facial expression is not angry at all. Unlike last time when he scowled at her when he called her annoying, this time he is smiling. It was not a mocking smile even if it looked that way at first glance. He's smiling because he appreciates Sakura's words, but he will still choose the path of revenge. The fact that he tells her "thank you" is what makes it pretty clear he doesn't _actually_ find her annoying anymore. That as well as the gentle way he knocked her out and carried her to a bench. It might seem harsh, but he made sure to not actually hurt her and at least didn't leave her on the ground. He even took the time to explain why he was leaving to her, he could have just knocked her out as soon as he saw her. How many people do you think Sasuke would be gentle like that for? Not many... if anyone else. I just wanted to point out these details that make the scene a lot better cause I actually like this scene tbh even though part 1 Sakura is very hit or miss (lots of miss lol). Still love her though.

See i totally get you when you say "Why dont you just jump him" but thats the thing - you compared this too the Ginyu Force - this arc does what that arc did even better by actually making every body have a moment in the spotlight - where the Ginyu force was just Goku - This felt like a proper TEAM effort (alot of later fights don't do this enough and have the usual 1v1 with commentary from the penut gallery (Most of the chunin exams were this)

chojis final line is amazing. I'm surprised you judged Shikamaru so harshly when he sensed Choji. It's perfectly in his character to prioritize the mission and respect the sacrifice that Choji was making. If he turns back or makes a fuss in that moment, not only is he putting the mission in jeopardy but he's also diminishing the point of his best friends sacrifice. People like Naruto or Kiba would turn back immediately in that instance which would have ruined the mission. Shikamaru knows this and handles his emotions better than anyone else, which is why he was the ONLY one to be promoted to Chunin and was hand selected by the hokage herself to lead the team to retrieve Sasuke!

This Neji fight is so *underrated* I thought this was the best one I've seen in this show so far when I first saw this almost 2 decades ago. The whole time he was just trying to figure out where spida was so he can melee his as$, he was trying so hard not to get hit but in the end getting hit solves the problem. Also, it showcases Naruto's greatest jutsu of all, the talk-nojutsu

So the reason they’re so desperate to get Sasuke back isn’t really for Sasuke himself, even if that’s what they’re telling these kids/genin. Firstly, they don’t want to lose the Sharingan. Sasuke is the only one who still has one and who can make babies for more Uchiha in the future. Kakashi’s wasn’t always his as is apparent and he can only use it so effectively compared to a real Uchiha. The more pressing issue is that they don’t want Orochimaru to take Sasuke’s body and get the Sharingan. He’s already powerful enough to kill two Kage. He does not need more hax abilities.

Love how Choji breaks out of the earth-dome and turns into a butterfly. His moment of transformation.

Something to mention about the proctor and the other Jonin (special Jonin actually, not full Jonin) is that the manga makes it clear that both of them are exhausted since they’re on their way back from a mission. It also implies that the only reason the Shikamaru team, who are all Genin, are able to fight them and win is because the two Jonin exhausted and pushed the Sound 4 so much. Finally, the Sound 4 are a lot stronger as a team. Orochimaru set them up so they’re best when they jump someone together. So splitting them up made them each weaker too.

apparently the writer actually wanted to kill choji and neji off in this arc (except naruto) to add emotional depth but was talked out of it due the characters likeability and that it would make sasuke too hated, thats why the fights end so ominously

the opening track that plays at the start of the Sasuke retrieval arc, "Seishun Kyousoukyoku", is my favourite Naruto opening, and somehow it added such a cool vibe to this arc, y'know?

I agree that they shouldn’t of risked so much for sasuke but it was important at this time before they realized he was complete lost that every young shinobi understands how far the leaf village will go and what that means for each other.
